![]() ![]() ![]() Īfter she became a TV personality, Chung made a return to occasional modelling. She had developed a "distorted body image" and "low self-esteem" through modelling. After four years, Chung quit modelling with the intention of beginning an art foundation or fashion journalism course, having become disillusioned. She appeared in music videos for artists including the Streets, Westlife, Delta Goodrem, Reuben and Holly Valance and starred as Jake in a scripted reality show called Shoot Me, broadcast on Fashion TV in 2005. She modelled for teen magazines, such as Elle Girl and CosmoGIRL!, and worked for companies including Fanta, Sony Ericsson, Sunsilk, Urban Outfitters, and Tampax. She was accepted at King's College London to study English and Chelsea College of Arts to study art, but at the age of 16 was scouted by a modelling agency at the Reading Festival before attending. Chung attended secondary state school at the local Perins School and spent sixth form at Peter Symonds College, Winchester. Growing up she had a pony and took dancing classes. Her father is of three-quarters Chinese descent, while her mother is of English descent. Early life Ĭhung was born in Winchester, Hampshire, England, the daughter of Gillian and Phillip Chung. Her fashion label Alexa Chung, stylized ALEXACHUNG, launched in May 2017 and closed in 2022. He wears mostly 7 For All Mankind, but he has The Matchbox that he also likes a lot.Alexa Chung (born 5 November 1983) is a British television presenter, model, internet personality, writer, and fashion designer. He used to complain that jeans were uncomfortable, and now he wears them every chance he gets. I got my husband to try a pair of premium denim a few years ago, and he’s never looked back. While you’re shopping, don’t forget your man. The Hailey is a more relaxed style, and The Alex is an inch shorter and has a higher rise. This cut-off pair is cute.Īnd I liked the rolled hem styles a lot as well. I wear 28 in their jeans and 29 in their shorts. They are fairly short, but generally you want to order your shorts a size larger than your jeans so they aren’t as snug and can slouch a little with wear. I believe they are the same as this style but they may have changed a bit over the last few years.Īnd of course there are blue denim shorts as well. I still wear them, and they’re my favorite pair of shorts. I have a pair of white AG shorts that I bought a few years ago on sale at Nordstrom at the end of the season. They appear to be similar to my new Current/Elliott pair. The Stilt Crop is a great pick for a straight leg crop jean. There is a large selection of cropped jeans too, which are perfect for spring and summer. If you’re looking for white jeans, they have a ton, although in my experience AG white jeans are thinner than Paige and J.Brand. The Stilt has a slightly wider leg opening and a slightly straighter silhouette, and of course they also have boyfriend, bootcut, and straight leg styles. I also like the Middi Ankle and the Farrah High Rise styles. The Black Ink is a nice choice for black jeans, and 10 Years Windchill is nice for a grey pair.ĪG has lots of other styles if these aren’t for you. They also have this style with a more trendy step hem, and here is a more classic style without the distressing or the raw hem. I have worn these jeans to death since I got them last summer during a sale at Shopbop. They are incredibly comfortable right out of the box, but they soften up even more with age and mold to your body in a way that is incredibly flattering. My favorites are these distressed raw hem legging ankle jeans. ![]() The Legging Ankle is by far and away my favorite style, but they do have a more body-conscious fit than typical skinny jeans. I just wanted to call out a few of my favorites in case you aren’t familiar with AG’s styles because I know it’s hard to navigate a new denim brand. I always recommend buying premium denim on sale, and this weekend, AG is running a 25% off sale site wide, so it’s a great time to pick up a pair. The code is FF25 and shipping is free. Yes, I know the price of these jeans is way up there, and I realize they aren’t for everyone, but they are absolutely the all-around most comfortable, best fitting, and most flattering denim brand of all that I’ve tried. If you’ve been reading here long, you probably know of my love affair with AG jeans. UPDATE 5/18/17: This sale is now sitewide!!! ![]()
